Who I am
I’m Paul Dixon, responsible for personal information processed through this website. Contact me at info@pauldixon.tech.
Using the site
IP addresses, requested pages, request times, browser details and security records are processed to deliver and secure the site, investigate problems and understand traffic. The lawful basis is my legitimate interests in operating, securing and understanding how this website is used. Hosting traffic reports count requests and distinct IP addresses, rather than individual people.
Security related IP addresses and attack information are shared with the security provider’s threat network to help block attacks.
Your sound preference
Your browser can remember your Sound on/off choice until it is removed or replaced. It is used only for that preference. The instrument runs locally and does not record audio or transmit node interactions.
You can turn remembering off below. This deletes the saved sound choice. Your browser saves this preference so it applies on future visits.
Turning this off keeps sound choices within your current visit.
Email enquiries
I use emailed contact details, messages and attachments to respond, relying on legitimate interests or contract where needed for work you request.
Providers, retention and transfers
Hosting, email, content delivery and security providers support these services. External asset requests disclose connection details, including your IP address and browser information, to the content delivery provider.
Local security traffic logs are normally kept for up to 30 days. Correspondence is kept while enquiries or related work are active, or a record is needed for a dispute or legal duty. Incident records I retain are reviewed against the continuing investigation, repeat abuse risk and any legal need.
Provider processing can occur outside the UK. Relevant hosting and security terms include standard contractual clauses and additional terms for UK data transfers. Contact me for details of applicable safeguards.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your information.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact me using the email above to exercise your rights or raise a concern.
You can complain to the ICO.
